Ms. Turkey came to call yesterday, while making her rounds on the trail of grubs. With her tolerance I shot this picture through the window while she foraged. What a glorious bird she is. This is mating season; I've been hearing much calling recent mornings. Is it normal behavior for lone females to be about like this? I saw her a couple of times yesterday afternoon, once lying down quietly looking about. jhc
