Yes. You can reduce the fee for your trailer registration renewal if you wait and renew the registration after the December 31 expiration date. The DMV charges a pro-rated fee that is less than the full-year registration fee.
Apply for the registration renewal at least two weeks before the date you plan to use the trailer. You can renew the trailer on-line, by telephone, by mail or at a DMV office. Use the registration renewal notice or the information from the expired registration document to renew the trailer registration. Do not use the trailer until you receive and use the renewed registration document and plate sticker.
You cannot process a renewal now and select a future date for the renewal to begin. The renewal takes effective the day that the DMV processes the renewal. The expiration date of the trailer registration remains December 31.
For example, you can wait until April 1 to renew your trailer registration. The DMV charges a fee for a trailer registration that is valid from April 1 to December 31 (eight months).

National Do Not Call Registry
The National Do Not Call Registry gives you a choice about whether to receive telemarketing calls at home. Most telemarketers should not call your number once it has been on the registry for 31 days. If they do, you can file a complaint at the National Do Not Call Registry Website.
You can register your home or mobile phone for free by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the telephone number you want to register.
Your registration will not expire. Telephone numbers placed on the National Do Not Call Registry will remain on it permanently due to the Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007, which became law in February 2008. Read more about it at http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2008/04/dncfyi.shtm
