Awaking to snow at White Spar Family Campground, Prescott AZ, March 16, 2008
Spring snow and rain in Arizona
This isn't the weather I traveled so far for this winter. I spent much of the day in and out of rain and, at the higher elevations near Prescott, snow, and temperatures colder than I really expected to find out here in the southwest. I finally left behind the families parked on the roadside having snowball fights about 50 miles east of Hoover Dam.

First Find What's Truly Significant
Zen Students and photographers have much in common. Both are acutely visionary, concerned with the practicalities of light and darkness, perception and clarity. The pursuit of either of these practices demands that those involved first find what's truly significant in their lives before they can ever hope to turn this significance into something that can be seen by others.
