Afternoon Virga, Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, San Antonio NM, February 25, 2010
Kate and Terry and I went down to the Refuge this afternoon to see if we could get some pictures. We did and I'll put some of mine up here over the next few days. Kate put a few of hers on her blog are {here} and {here}

Roses
Out by the road on the far side of the house is a wild rose bush. It's mostly thorns. We never water it or cut it back. It just lives on its own. It makes tiny yellow roses that never relax. I think the buds know that opening up is the beginning of the end.
