Makes Me Twitch. Great Blue Heron, Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge, San Antonio NM, February 25, 2010
Makes me twitch
Makes me twitch, it does. Most of the pictures I took on this outing with Kate & Terry are lousy. Somehow I lost my focus and got the exposures all wrong. Bah! There is so so much to learn about this DSLR photography stuff. This Great Blue Heron posed with great patience and I messed up. Guess I won't be putting heron pictures from this outing up here after all.

First Find What's Truly Significant
Zen Students and photographers have much in common. Both are acutely visionary, concerned with the practicalities of light and darkness, perception and clarity. The pursuit of either of these practices demands that those involved first find what's truly significant in their lives before they can ever hope to turn this significance into something that can be seen by others.
