Yes, I know
The image is messed up. My Verizon connection is so slow here at the Cactus RV Park I can't get the image to finish uploading. I'll have to come back and fix that later.
I miss the internet the most....
[update Monday evening] Finally I'm camped with good access - It's been an interesting weekend - more to follow....
Night camp
Site ?? - Cactus RV Park, Tucumcari NM
- Cactus RV Park is an old 40 site park along the now dilapidated Historic Route 66 frontage in Tucumcari New Mexico with basic gravel sites and full hookups. It's nothing fancy but is quiet and clean and handy to a decent restaurant and the Dinosaur Museum. Some sites are nicely shaded.
- Verizon cell phone service is available here with a weak signal but there is no Broadband service.
- Locate Cactus RV Park on my Night Camps map
- Check the weather here
Running With the Pack
Hardly anyone out there is going to take this seriously, but TV changes you. The kicker is that if you watch it all the time, you'll never know, which under normal circumstances ought to scare you shitless...
No amount of sermonizing will make a difference here, so I'll move on. But I'm telling you, it's true. If you disconnect from the medium long enough to stop associating certain days and times with TV shows you're used to watching, you WILL be different, with values and behavior that arise from sources you never knew existed. There is no arguing with this, you simply have to experience it.
