Hastings Air Force Station, Abandoned 1968, Hastings NE, May 7, 2011
Gotcha!
At the filling station this morning, I punched the button for the lowest grade, started pumping, then noticed the price was $0.15 higher than advertised. Grumbling I quite the fill-up. It seems the Lowest price is for the mid-grade. By a lot. That's deceptive I concluded. Later I continued my fill-up at a station of another brand in another town, Hastings NE, and surprise surprise the same pricing scheme holds. What gives?
DLD State Recreation Area
What a neat find. A tiny little recreation area with a few nice level spots to camp. And unused and unmaintained at that. My kind of place. Much quieter than one of Wally's parking lots and the same price at that - $0.00.
And the dandelions are fresh! Yum.

This is Easy
Naturally, the common people don't want war, but after all, it is the leaders of a country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag people along whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. This is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in every country.
